New & Full Moon Gatherings

Sacred Moon Ceremony Experience

Embrace the potent energies of the New & Full Moon. Join us in Costa Rica for a transformative journey of yoga, breath, sacred ritual, and communal nourishment.

Lunar Alignment

Align with the Moon's Cycles

The Moon, our celestial companion, governs the tides within us and around us. Her cycles offer powerful portals for release, renewal, intention setting, and manifestation. Our Sacred Moon Ceremonies, held under the potent skies of both the New and Full Moon, are an invitation to align with these natural rhythms.

Each ceremony is a unique, co-created experience designed to honor the specific energies of the lunar phase. We gather in a sacred space at Yoga Ashram in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, creating an intimate container for healing, joy, and holistic living.

The Journey

What Happens at a Moon Ceremony?

1

Embodiment: Yoga & Movement

We begin by gently awakening the body and centering the mind with a mindful movement practice. Depending on the moon cycle and the part of the year, this may be Yin Yoga for deep release, a slow Hatha flow for grounding, or Restorative Yoga for nervous system recalibration. This warm-up prepares your physical vessel to receive and integrate the energies of the ceremony, enhancing your connection to the present moment.

The style shifts with the season and lunar phase β€” always chosen to support what the group needs most.

2

Energetic Activation: Breathwork & Meditation

Next, we dive deeper into energetic alignment through guided meditation and breathwork β€” often in a Kundalini-style practice to go deeper. Powerful breathing techniques clear energetic blockages, expand consciousness, and awaken your vital life force. Depending on the ceremony, this may also include ecstatic dance or movement medicine to express, release, and connect with primal energy and joy in a supportive, non-judgmental space.

The specific breathwork and meditation style is chosen to match the lunar energy β€” full moon for release, new moon for seeding.

Sacred Ritual: Cacao or Tea Ceremony

At the heart of our gathering lies the sacred ritual:

  • πŸŒ• Full Moon: Cacao Ceremony. We share ceremonial-grade cacao, a heart-opening plant medicine, to deepen our connection to ourselves, each other, and the expansive energy of the full moon, fostering gratitude and illumination.
  • πŸŒ‘ New Moon: Tea Ceremony. We partake in a mindful tea ceremony with specially selected herbal infusions, creating a space for quiet reflection, intention setting, and planting seeds for the new moon cycle.
4

Nourishment: Communal Vegan Dinner

We conclude our ceremony by sharing a delicious and lovingly prepared vegan dinner. This communal meal offers a chance to ground, integrate the experience, and connect with fellow participants in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. All food is included in your pass.

The entire ceremony and dinner typically lasts around 2.5 – 3 hours, with the core ceremony being about 1.5 hours.

Who Is This For?

Everyone is welcome! Our Sacred Moon Ceremonies are open to all individuals, regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, spiritual beliefs, or previous experience with yoga or ceremony. The only requirement is an open heart and a respectful willingness to receive and share in the energy of the gathering.

The ceremony is held in a circle of like-minded guests and locals β€” usually between 6 to ~12 people β€” creating an intimate container for deep work and genuine connection.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable clothing β€” white or light colors are favored for moon ceremonies
  • A journal and pen for intention-setting or reflection
  • An open mind and a willingness to be present
  • Optional: a small personal item for the altar (crystal, photo, etc.)

Important

We strictly do not permit alcohol, recreational drugs, or hallucinogenic substances during or prior to any ceremony. These substances diminish the clarity of the experience and are counterproductive to the deep inner work we facilitate.
