What is a Reset Retreat and who is it best for?⌄
Reset Retreats are designed for guests who need to pause, breathe, and restore mental clarity. They are ideal if you are experiencing burnout, stress, decision fatigue, or simply need a structured break from daily life. The retreat provides quiet structure through yoga, meditation, nourishing plant-based meals, and nature immersion — without the pressure of intense transformation work.
How long is a Reset Retreat and can I extend my stay?⌄
The base Reset Retreat is 4 nights / 5 days. You can extend to 5, 6, or 7 nights depending on availability. Extra nights include additional accommodation, meals, and daily classes.
Do I need yoga or meditation experience to join?⌄
No experience is required. Reset Retreats are beginner-friendly. Our instructors adapt each session to your current energy, mobility, and comfort level. Whether you have never stepped on a yoga mat or have an established practice, the retreat meets you where you are.
What does a typical day look like on a Reset Retreat?⌄
Days follow a gentle rhythm: morning yoga and meditation, a nourishing plant-based brunch, free time for rest or nature walks, an afternoon workshop or restorative practice, dinner, and evening integration such as sound healing or Yoga Nidra. The schedule is spacious — not packed — so your nervous system has room to downregulate.
What kind of food is served?⌄
We serve two nourishing, plant-based Ayurvedic meals daily — usually brunch and dinner. Our cuisine is designed to support detoxification, provide vibrant energy, and align with the retreat's restorative intention. Meals are gluten-free, dairy-free, and prepared fresh in our jungle kitchen.
What is included in the retreat price?⌄
The price includes your accommodation, daily plant-based meals, daily yoga and meditation classes, guided breathwork, sound healing sessions, nature connection activities, and integration support. Optional add-ons like massage, Ayurvedic consultation, or airport transfer can be requested during booking.
What should I pack for a Reset Retreat in Costa Rica?⌄
Pack comfortable yoga clothing, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent, a journal, light layers for early mornings, and swimwear for beach or pool time. We provide yoga mats and props. A full packing list is sent after booking confirmation.
Is this retreat good for solo travelers?⌄
Yes. Many of our guests come solo. The retreat structure provides gentle community without forced socializing. Solo travelers often find the quiet structure especially restorative, and our staff is attentive to guests traveling alone.
Can I do a digital detox during the retreat?⌄
Absolutely. We highly recommend a digital detox during your stay. While Wi-Fi is available for emergencies, the retreat container is designed to help you disconnect from screens and reconnect with your body, breath, and natural surroundings.
What is the accommodation like?⌄
We offer jungle bungalows and shared rooms surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable — designed to support rest rather than luxury excess. You will fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle and wake to birdsong.
How do I get to the retreat center from the airport?⌄
We are located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, approximately 90 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR). We can arrange a private airport transfer for you, or you can rent a car. Detailed directions and transfer options are provided after booking.
What is the cancellation policy?⌄
We understand that plans change. Cancellations made 30+ days before arrival receive a full refund minus a small processing fee. Cancellations 14-29 days before receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable but may be rescheduled subject to availability.
Can couples or friends attend together?⌄
Yes. We welcome couples and friends who want to share a restorative experience. Private room options are available. Each guest participates at their own pace — there is no expectation to do everything together.
What happens after the retreat — will I have tools to take home?⌄
Yes. A core intention of Reset Retreats is giving you practical tools to maintain clarity after you leave. You will receive guided meditations, breathwork sequences, and a personal practice plan tailored to your schedule and lifestyle.
What makes Yoga Ashram different from other Costa Rica retreats?⌄
We are a boutique, family-owned jungle sanctuary — not a large commercial resort. Our groups are intimate (typically 6-12 guests), our instruction is personalized, and our approach integrates authentic yogic and Ayurvedic traditions with modern somatic practices. You are not a room number here; you are a guest with specific needs and intentions.
